Govt. Polytechnic was established by Govt. of Maharashtra on 11th June 1990 to promote technical education in each district of state. Initially the institute started in the Kanyashala campus at Arvi. In the year 1997, it was shifted to its own building constructed under World Bank Project. The total area is 8.27 hectares.
